It's time to get excited about Football

To all Halswell United AFC Players, Coaches, Parents and Supporters
Here we are in a new exciting year for football. With the All Whites on their way to South Africa in June we all get share in their inspirational effort competing on the world stage.

It is now the time of year for you to get involved in fooball. Our registration days for all players (Senior and Junior) for the 2010 season will be held as follows:
Sunday 21st February 2010, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Halswell Pool.

South West Football Trust Mini Football
For the 2010 season we have established a new organisation to run Mini League.
Enrolling children to play for the Mini League will occur as above.

Please complete the form and either bring it to one of the Registration days together with payment or put it in the post.

As of this year, Mainland Football is imposing additional fees for late payment, and we will therefore need to pass these costs on, should payment not be received by 1st April. If you experience difficulty in paying the required fees, please contact Trudy Murdoch on 322 8178 , in order that suitable arrangements can be made.

This year we got a good number of great people together to run the club, but are in need of a few more for specific roles. We need motivated people to help with Club Communications (website, newsletter etc.), Club Social Events and Club Sponsorship. If you are interested please contact me for further details.

PRE SEASON TRAINING

Halswell United Mens 1st team squad pre-season training.

Every Tuesday / Thursday Halswell Domain at 6.30pm. All past and new players more than welcome.

Halswell United Womens 1st team squad pre-season training.

Every Tuesday / Thursday Halswell Domain from 6pm. All past, present and new players welcome - along with any junior players who like to join in.

Halswell United Senior Men + Women and Masters pre-season training.

Every Wednesday Halswell Domain from 6.30pm. All past, present and new players welcome - along with any junior players who like to join in.

Halswell United Junior Preseason Training and Trails.

FOUNDATION PHASE : Players aged between 5-8 and 9-11 Girls and Boys
Every Monday or Wednesday from Feb 8 at Halswell Domain. Session A: 4pm to 5:15pm; Session B: 5:30pm to 6:45pm. All past, present and new players welcome along with anyone interested in Coaching or Managing teams.

PREPARTION PHASE : Players aged between 12-15 Girls and Boys
Every Sunday from Feb 7 at Halswell Domain from 10am to 12noon. All past, present and new players welcome along with anyone interested in Coaching or Managing teams.

PERFORMANCE PHASE : Players aged over 16 Girls and Boys
Every Tuesday / Thursday from Feb 4 Halswell Domain from 6pm. All past, present and new players welcome along with anyone interested in Coaching or Managing teams.

FOUNDATION PHASE Includes:

Mini Football > 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 yrs (mixed)
U9 & U10 yrs Non-Competitive (mixed)

PREPARATION PHASE Includes:

U12, U13, U14, U15 yrs Competitive Boys
U12, U14, U16 yrs Competitive Girls

PERFORMANCE PHASE Includes:

U17, U19 yrs Competitive Boys
Senior Men
U19 yrs Competitive Girls
Senoir Women

If you or any other people that you are familiar with are interested in a position then let’s spread the word. In 2009 HUAFC had 36 junior division teams, 250 mini / maxi league players. 66 players nominated for representative trials. 30 players were selected for representative teams.

In 2009 HUAFC placed 14 coaches through Mainland Football courses and awarded with a New Zealand Football qualification. 6 people gained a referee qualification.

In 2010 HUAFC will once again provide In-house, Small whites, refereeing and NZ Football qualification opportunities for coaches’ to increase their knowledge of the beautiful game.

HUAFC will follow the same vain in 2009 with opportunities for players to improve their level and enjoyment of the game, providing pathways through the STARS In-house training programme, developmental squads, tournament opportunities and representative opportunities to trial for representative teams .
